I love a good pick-your-own farm in the summer and fall. It's a nice escape from city life and the picturesque views are always give me a breath of fresh air. But there's not really much those farms do at Christmas. Most of them shut down for the winter season.
One of my absolute favorite farms--Shady Brook Farm, in Yardley, PA found the answer by doing a drive through Christmas light show. I love the idea of a drive through because you can stay all warm and cozy in the car with the heater on with treats and hot chocolate in cup holders-- don't forget your favorite Christmas music streaming on the radio!
Lights are a big part of Christmas for me as I have some of the happiest memories driving around the suburbs of Dallas with my dad for hours looking at all the lit up houses. It was always magical to see all of the decorations and we'd always end our little adventures with pie or ice cream.
I have to say that this light show came pretty close to recapturing some of those moments with my own son. I couldn't believe how many lights they had! For the first few minutes all we could hear in the back seat was "Ooooooo!!!" 100% Henry approved Christmas outing.
Enter blurry, iPhone picture of Henry, but you can see that he loved it! (especially without shoes and socks, #winning).
They had light displays of all sorts of different things from the Twelve Days of Christmas to Mount Rushmore to the Eiffel Tower, Noah's Ark pictured above and so much more!
My absolute favorite. I am a big believer of family, love, Christ and Christmas. :)
