MARTIN LUTHER KING JR DAY

Something to always ask yourself . . .

I sincerely hope that no matter what situation I am in, I am always working towards improving humanity with kindness and generosity in some way. Rich or poor, everyone has the opportunity to help; we need your light.

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr., I thought it would be nice to highlight a few of my favorite charities. Big or small, every little bit counts.

Charity: Water because everyone needs clean water to drink, live and play.

Girls on the Run for helping girls gain their confidence and a healthy body image.

Go Shout Love, two moms with a vision to help critically ill children and their families.

Where Angels Play an organization building playgrounds in memory of children who passed away.

Make-A-Wish Foundation making dreams come true for terminally ill children and giving them a miracle.

The ultimate gift: simply be there. No matter what, be there when it's most important. You can be the lighthouse for someone who is going through the storm.
